How Chuck got his Raging Balls!

Tonight at 11pm on Film4 is the UK TV premiere of ‘Chuck Steel: Raging Balls of Steel Justice’ – a little film that I and a small crew of 6 people worked on for 18 months, filmed entirely in my basement. The character of Chuck Steel was created way back when I was 15 and doodling in my school book. Over the years I have tried to get the project off the ground many times but found it impossible to raise the finance and almost gave up on it altogether. When I started this short film I had no funding or crew and began making it alone, just so I could get it out of my system. As things progressed, things fell into place, firstly with a little help from the Film Agency for Wales helping with the material costs to build the models, then a producer friend of mine called Joseph D’Morais introduced me to Rupert Lywood who became the main investor due to his love of animation and in particular ‘Gogs’ – the old caveman show I did years ago. It was really a case of ‘if you build it they will come’. Now, 3 years after I started it we are embarking on a feature film and setting up a studio in Bridgend! So please tune in to Film4 tonight and have a laugh at this insane little film that’s becoming something bigger! And if you like it, there will be a download/purchase link going live on the Chuck website after the broadcast where you can buy a digital copy. All proceeds help with the feature. Thanks all.
